Stainless Running Boards

Time was, all cars had running boards. Even the VW Beatles & Bugs of the 60's had them. They were great for filling the void between the front and rear fendors, and provided some assistance for folks getting in and out. In the days of Al Capone, the gunners stood on them as the car raced down the street, guns a-blazin'!!!

While they still are a valid assist for climbing in and out of the bigger pickups and SUVs, many today are for show. And quite a show they are. They can be had in molded ABS plastic and fiberglass specifically for your vehicle, whether it had some to begin with or not. Others are made from Aluminum, Diamond Plate, and Stainless Steel. But, no matter what they're made of, today's running boards are built to last! And to look good doing it!

The best look in my book are the chrome and stainless steel running boards! They're built strong and tough, and by adding the chrome finish, they just look great! They shine up nice and really set off the rest of the truck!

Some of the modern running boards are a pretty standard, rugged style. Others are more modern and stylish. Some are factory replicas and some will fit lots of vehicles. You can make the call.

The typical running board runs the distance between the wheels and fits up under the side frame. Side steps are the common shorter means of entry, often outside the doors of a pickup,. Nerf bars and Tubes look like tubing with steps attached to the top. The latter two generally are set out away from the vehicle body. Again, you pick the style that fits you best!

Whether you need the boost into your ride or not, the stainless running boards of today are really dressing up the place, and looking good.
